AMED - DEM Party Women's Assembly visited the graves of murdered Rojin Kabaiş and Narin Güran on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Women's Assembly visited the graves of Rojin Kabaiş and Narin Güran on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr. Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Women's Assembly, DEM Party Women's Assembly Spokesperson Halide Türkoğlu, Amed (Diyarbakır) MP Adalet Kaya, Amed Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Serra Bucak and Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) members attended the visits.
The women first visited Rojin Kabaiş's grave in Yeniköy Cemetery and expressed their condolences to the family. After the prayers, roses were left at the cemetery.
NARIN GURAN NOT FORGOTTEN
Then Narin Güran's grave was visited. Speaking here, DEM Party Amed Provincial Co-chair Gulsen Ozer said, "Narin was supposed to run and play outside, not here under the ground. We hope that the perpetrators will be revelaed as soon as possible."
Speaking afterwards, DEM Party Women's Assembly Spokesperson Halide Türkoğlu stated that children are not safe in Turkey and said, "Violations of children's right to life continue every day in this country. Massacres of children continue every day. But we, women, insist on our struggle. We are struggling for this society to be a society where children can really live and women have the security of life."

Van Yüzüncü Yıl University student Rojin Kabaiş's body was found 18 days after she disappeared in Wan (Van). The body of Narin Güran, 8, was found 19 days after she disappeared on 21 August 2024 in Çuli rural neighbourhood of Rezan (Bağlar) district of Amed.
