Stating that they are behind Abdullah Öcalan's call, Peace Mothers emphasised that for a lasting solution and peace, Abdullah Öcalan and the prisoners must first be released from prison.

Stating that Rosa Luxemburg's vision of social revolution and the democratic autonomy model in North and East Syria have common points, Lama Ghandour from the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation said, "Rosa's principles of solidarity, equality and freedom shine in the Rojava revolution."
Women went on a work stoppage in Izmir, Ankara, Istanbul and Eskisehir and organized statements and events in many cities on March 8.

Sharing Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's message to women, Tulay Hatimogullari said, "Mr Öcalan made it clear that the basic code of the new era is the struggle for democratisation. The revolutionary subject of the struggle for democratisation is women."
Evaulating Abdullah Öcalan's "Call for Peace and Democratic Society", women said that they want to take part equally in the negotiation process.
The women in Amed we spoke to on the occasion of March 8 International Women's Day wished for an end to the massacres of women. "As long as women are not free in the world, no one can be free" said Semra Gündüz, one of the women.
Pointing to the call of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, DEM Party Deputy Newroz Uysal Aslan said, "What the ruling mind will do after this point, seeing this call in the new paradigm, is the most critical issue in terms of the course of the process."
Reminding that the PKK declared a ceasefire following Abdullah Öcalan's call, the Peace Mothers pointed to the state and said, "They must also take a step and declare a ceasefire."
IPPNW Turkey Representative Gisela Penteker, who has been banned from entering Turkey for the last 3 years, stated that Abdullah Öcalan's freedom is a chance for the peace of Kurdish and Turkish peoples and said, "His freedom would help all the region and the women as well."
Stating that they are behind Abdullah Öcalan's call, the Peace Mothers said that Abdullah Öcalan's physical freedom must be ensured and that an honourable peace will benefit everyone.
The Syrian Women's Assembly stated that the National Dialogue Congress held in Damascus was not legitimate and that they would not accept the decisions.
