Many people, including journalists Nurcan Yalçın and Derya Us, were detained in the morning house raids in Amed. It was learned that among the people detained were Chamber of Financial Advisors member Songül İpek, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Party Council Member Sema Koç, Zuhal Ayaz, Fatma Opçin and Muhammet Özer.
It was stated that the people detained during the operation carried out within the scope of the investigation dated 2021 were accused of "sending money to the prison". The detained people are being held at the Provincial Security Directorate.
It was learned that Zuhal Ayaz was detained on similar allegations within the scope of the Kocaeli-based operation on October 6, 2023, and was later released.
