Turkey Environment Platform (TÜRÇEP) Representatives Assembly held its 12th meeting in Hekimdağ neighbourhood of Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir on 23-24 November. The final declaration of the assembly meeting was announced. The following articles were included in the final declaration:
"*We must protect our air, soil, water and forests.
*The use of forests as rent should be prevented.
*Mines should be nationalised and mined in harmony with the environment.
* The Seed Law No. 5553 must be amended.
* Our underground riches should be prevented from being given away to local and foreign capital.
* Solar Power Plants (SPP) and Wind Power Plants (WPP) should be prevented from being built on agricultural lands.
* Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) should be prevented from being established everywhere.
* Geothermal Power Plant (GPP) should not be sacrificed to rent-seeking.
* Coal-fired thermal power plants should be abandoned in time to reduce CO2 footprint.
* We must abandon nuclear energy.
* We should support our energy supply by using our energy resources efficiently."
