NEWS CENTER – The Justice Watch action, which was initiated to demand the freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan, continued in 6 cities.
 
Justice Watch actions launched in many cities with the demands for the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who is held in absolute isolation in Imralı Type F High Security Closed Prison, and democratic solution of the Kurdish issue, continue.
 
WAN
 
The action initiated in Wan under the leadership of the Association for Assistance with the Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TUHAY-DER) continued its 62nd day. The ongoing protest at the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) building was visited by many people today. Speaking at the action, TUHAY-DER Co-chair Edibe Babur emphasized that negotiations with Abdullah Ocalan must begin.
 
Babur also called on the Ministry of Justice and the CPT and said: "A lawlessness has been put into effect by the government in the country. The Ministry of Justice and the CPT need to go to İmralı Prison as soon as possible and meet with Mr. Abdullah Ocalan."
 
During the action, the slogan "Bijî berxwedana zindanan (Long live resistance of the dungeons)" was chanted. 
 
ISTANBUL
 
The Justice Watch action, initiated under the leadership of Marmara Association of Assistance and Solidarity with Families of Prisoners and Convicts (MATUHAY-DER), continued its 54th day. In the ongoing action at the DEM Party Esenyurt District Organization building, slogans such as "Bijî berxwedana zindanan", "Bijî Serok Apo (Long live Leader Apo)" and "Bê Serok jiyan nabe (Without Leader there is no life)" were frequently chanted.
 
ADANA
 
The Justice Watch, initiated by Akdeniz Adana Association for Assistance with Families of Prisoners and Convicts (AATUHAY-DER), continued its 63rd day. DEM Party Adana Youth Assembly members continued today's action. Helin Bayna, one of the young people who spoke at the action where slogans of "Bijî berxwedana zindanan" were chanted, said: "Leader of the Kurds Mr. Abdullah Ocalan has been isolated for 36 months. We will end the isolation together. We will be the voice of those resisting in prisons. We call on all young people to fight for the freedom of the Leader (Ocalan)." Young people watched the movie "Silverton Siege".
 
AMED
 
The Justice Watch action launched in Amed under the leadership of the Association for Assistance with Prisoners and Convict Families (TUAY-DER) continued its 62nd day. The ongoing action at the DEM Party Rêzan (Bağlar) District Organization building was taken over by the Assistance and Solidarity Association with Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilizations (MEBYA-DER) and the Mezopotamya Language and Culture Research Association (MED-DER). Activists wore aprons with the words "Isolation is a crime against humanity."
 
DEM Party Amed Deputy Ceylan Akça Cupolo stated that the actions carried out for the freedom of PKK Leader Ocalan. Cupolo said: “The Great Freedom March has been launched from Qers (Kars) and Wan. This march is the hand of peace extending from Kurdistan to all of Turkey and to Imralı. People of Turkey responsible for solving the issues. The hands extending from Wan and Qers must be held. Mr. Ocalan will represent us at the peace table to be established. Ocalan is a leader that the Kurds accept as a leader. The hunger strike, Justice Watch and Great Freedom March have only one demand; freedom of Mr. Ocalan. It is the restart of a peace process. It is the end of dirty policies on four parts of Kurdistan."
 
During the action, slogans such as "Bijî berxwedana zindanan", "Bê Serok jiyan nabe" and "Jin, Jîyan, Azadî" were frequently chanted. Mothers sang Kurdish songs.
 
ÊLIH
 
The action in Êlih continued its 4th day. Many people visited the protest led by prisoners' relatives and non-governmental organizations. The visits continued throughout the day. Slogans such as "Bijî berxwedana zindanan", "We will win by resisting" and "Jin, Jîyan, Azadî" were frequently chanted.
 
MÊRDÎN 
 
Many people visited the Justice Watch held at the DBP provincial building in Mêrdîn today. Mothers and visitors sang songs and read poems together. At the action, attention was drawn to the "Great Freedom March" and people were asked to support the march. Referring to the purpose of their actions, Mother for Peace Leyla Akar said: "We are calling all mothers and our people; We are here on duty for the Leader (Ocalan) and for fellowship. Let's join hands."
 
The action continued with visits throughout the day.
