AMED - Peace Mothers stated that they want to meet with Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and that they will apply to the Ministry of Justice.
Peace Mothers Assembly made a statement at Human Rights Association (IHD) Amed (Diyarbakır) Branch regarding the Peace and Democratic Society Process.
Speaking here, Peace Mother Havva Kıran stated that they want to meet with Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and said: "A peace process has started for 6 months, and we, as Peace Mothers, want to meet with Mr Öcalan. For 25 years, we have not left any place we did not apply for meeting with him and for peace. We thank everyone who shoulder the responsibility for this process. As Peace Mothers, we want to meet with Mr Abdullah Öcalan. This is the right of the mothers the most, our children fought for this cause. We are calling out to the state, if a process has started, the sound of these planes should be stopped."
CALL
Calling for the construction of a lasting peace, Kıran stated that they want a lasting peace in the Middle East and the world. Noting that they will apply to the Ministry of Justice for a meeting with Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Hava Kıran said that everyone should do their part to ensure the success of the process.
