ISTANBUL – Riha (Urfa) MP Ömer Öcalan, who held a family visit with Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island, stated, “Mr. Öcalan emphasizes that ‘the participation of all segments in the process is a vital necessity’ for the process to proceed in a healthy manner.”
Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is held in the İmralı F-Type High Security Prison, met with his guardian Mazlum Dinç and his nephew, Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Riha MP Ömer Öcalan, as part of a family visit.
Other prisoners held on İmralı Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar, Ergin Atabey, and Zeki Bayhan also met with their families during family visitation.
Ömer Öcalan shared details of the visit on his virtual media account on X. His post reads: “Today, as the family of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, we held a visit at İmralı Prison. Mr. Öcalan maintains his hope and determination for peace and a democratic solution, and he underlines that ‘the participation of all segments in the process is a vital necessity’ for the process to proceed in a healthy manner.”
