NEWS CENTER - Abdullah Öcalan's "Manifesto for a Democratic Civilisation Volume I" book has been translated into Swedish.

Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's "Manifesto for a Democratic Civilisation Volume I" book was published in Swedish. The book, translated by Rojavakommittéerna (Rojava Committee), was published by Federativ Förlag in cooperation with Heval Förlag and Meyman Publishing House.

Rojavakommittéerna, which made the translation, announced that the book will be launched on 12-14 April in Malmö and Stockholm in Sweden and Gothenburg in Germany. Abdullah Öcalan's ideas of democratic confederalism and social justice can provide a vital framework in today's rapidly changing political environment, the organisation said. During the events, it will be discussed how Abdullah Öcalan's ideas can resonate in Swedish society and what solutions book proposes for the current crises.

The book is a call to action for those who want to build a more egalitarian society, Rojavakommittéerna said in a statement. The statement emphasised that Swedish society is struggling with critical problems such as climate change, military tensions and social inequality and that Abdullah Öcalan's thoughts can open up an alternative democratic model for discussion.
