DERSİM - Following the detentions of HDP Provincial Co-chairs and executives, Dersim Humans' Rights Association Chair Gürbüz Solmaz was detained by the police.
The detention operation against the leaders of the People's Democratic Party (HDP) is continuing in Dersim. HDP Provincial Co-chairs Hıdır Çiçek and Özlem Toprak, party executives Yunus Aras, Cemile Ataş, Erdal Ekici, municipal councilor Nurgül Yalay and former Provincial Co-Mayor Özge Hoşoğlu were taken into custody during the house raids in the city center yesterday. Those under custody are taken to the Provincial Security Directorate
According to the information receieved, those under custody are being asked questions about the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the hunger strikes demanding the end of the isolation, the sit ins regarding the trustee appointments and the electoral work of the provincial organization.
