Justice sit-in actions, which were initiated to ensure the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is held in İmralı Type F High Security Prison, and to show solidarity with prisoners who are on alternate hunger strikes in prisons demanding a solution to the Kurdish issue, continued in Amed(Diyarbakır), Wan(Van), Adana and Mersin.
THE TURKISH STATE NEEDS TO TAKE A STEP
The sit-in action started at the Çukurova Association for Assistance with Families of Arrests and Convicts (Çukurova TUAY-DER) in Mersin has entered its 8th day. Speaking at the sit-in with the participation of many non-governmental organizations, especially the Peace Mothers, Meryem Erbey, a member of the Peace Mothers Council, emphasized that they will continue their sit-in until they hear from Abdullah Öcalan and said: "We will not stop without hearing from our leader. The Turkish state needs to take a step. The isolation is continued on all Kurds in the person of the leadership. We do not accept this and we will fight. We will continue our action until we regain our freedom."
