NEWS CENTER – The ongoing rotating hunger strike in prisons has entered its 15th day. The demands of the prisoners are to ensure the conditions of freedom for PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to take steps to solve the Kurdish issue.
The rotating hunger strike action initiated by political prisoners in prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan has reached its 15th day.
Prisoners who wanted to lift the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held in İmralı Type F High Security Prison for 25 years, and to ensure his physical freedom, as well as to take steps towards a solution to the Kurdish issue, started a hunger strike last November 27.
The prisoners, who supported the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish issue" campaign, which continues at the international level, with the action they started, expect steps to be taken regarding their demands. Prisoners who participated in the action called on all social segments to take responsibility for this issue in the messages they have shared with the public so far.
