ŞIRNEX - Stating that seriously ill prisoner İsmail Tanboğa, who was fed with formula in prison, was hospitalized 15 days ago, his mother Kumriye Tanboğa asked for her child to be released.
İsmail Tanboğa (23), who was detained and arrested during the curfew declared in 2015 in Şirnex's Silopiya (Silopi) district, was sentenced to 4 aggravated life imprisonment in the case filed against him. Tanboğa, who is held in Diyarbakır Type T Closed Prison, is on the list of seriously ill prisoners of the Human Rights Association (IHD). Tanboğa was diagnosed with stomach cancer some time after his arrest, but later tests reported that he also had advanced ulcers and gastritis in the stomach. Tanboğa's disease has not been fully diagnosed until now. Tanboğa, who suffers from severe anemia, sores in the mouth, throat and back pain, kidney disease, loss of teeth, and intense vomiting, has been fed with formula for 3 years.
It was learned that Tanboğa was taken to Dicle University Hospital 15 days ago due to his health getting worse. It was stated that Tanboğa's family was informed a week after he was hospitalized. Tanboğa's mother, Kumriye Tanboğa, stated that she was not allowed to visit her son and called for public awareness.
'THE STATE DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO VISIT MY SON'
Stating that her son was hospitalized for 15 days, but they could not visit him, Tanboğa said: "The Turkish state does not allow us to visit him in the hospital. He cannot meet his needs on his own. The state does not allow me to visit my son in the hospital. If the state let me visit my son and see him for half an hour, I would feel relieved. Isn't this cruel? I would feel relieved if I saw his condition. They still haven't been able to diagnose his illness. Let human rights organizations hear our voices and protect my son."
