THE INTERNATIONALISTS WERE DRAGGED ON THE GROUND

Party members came together at the HDP Riha Provincial Organization building and wanted to march in front of the Ahmet Bahçıvan Business Center, where the statement would be made. The police prevented it on the grounds of "Governorship ban". Party members condemned the ban and emphasized that the ban was "against the law".

Internationalist young people also came to the party building to participate in the statement. The crowd, including Green Left Party Riha MP Dilan Kunt Ayan, was blockaded with shields at the entrance of the party building. The crowd condemned the blockade with the slogans "Bijî berxwedana Rojava(Long live the resistance of Rojava)". The police attacked the crowd with shields, batons and pepper gas.

The police wanted to forcibly remove MP Ayan from the crowd. Ayan condemned the blockade and made a statement. Police detained members of the Green Left Party Youth Assembly, Livan Orman, Senem Eriş, Sadullah Bircan and Mizgin Çiftçi, who were among the crowd. The young people were beaten and detained.

Ayan, who made a statement despite the police attack, condemned the attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria.
