URFA - Ahmet and Müslüm Yıldırım brothers who were taken under custody in Urfa, Halfeti and were tortured for days, told what they've been through after their release. Yıldırım brothers who stated that the torture started at their home while they were being taken under custody, said they were subjected to various kinds of torture and were electrocuted from their genitals.

While 19 of the 47 citizens taken under custody was released after the conflict in Halfeti on May 18, the remaining citizens are still under police custody.
 
Yıldırım brothers who were released after their deposition yesterday, were amongst the people in the photo where people were laid on the ground with their hands cuffed behind their backs in fron of the Yaylak Gendermerie Station.
 
 
Yıldırım brothers told what they have been through to Mesopotamian Agency (MA). 
 
Ahmet Yıldırım looks weak and weary with broken bones in his head and marks of torture all over his body. Yıldırım who told how he was taken under custody, said the minute they walked in the house they started hitting him in the head.Yıldırım told the police went over to his brother Emin Yıldırım's house after taking him under custody said his niece Uğur Yıldırım was handcuffed behind the back and beatan as well.
 
 
Yıldırım's who were brought to Yaylak Gendermerie station were laid on the ground with their hands cuffed behing their backs with other people who were taken under custody, as reflected to the press, were then taken to Counter Terrorism Unit (TEM) Urfa Branch.
 
Yıldırım said: "They electrocuted us. They put a black sack on my head and beat me. I couldn't see anything. I don't know how many people have beaten me.They took of my clothes, got me naked. They laid me down tied my hands and feet. They electrocuted me from my genitals. They broke the bones of my head. I still have those scars. There were Ömer Gül laying beside me. They tortured him too much as well."
 
 
Yıldırım stated that when they were brought to the hospital, even though it was obvious they were tortured and they were covered in blood, the doctors didn't do anything.
 
 
Müslük Yıldırım who had 6 stitches behind his ear and bruises on his legs, said the torture started the minute they were taken under custody.Yıldırım who stated that they started beating him in front of his children, said the gendermerie stampled them, kicked them in the head and insulted them and the torture took 6-7 days in TEM.
 
Yıldırım who stated that although he did not have an idea why he was taken under custody, the police accused them of causing the death of their friend, said he did not know what he did all those time under toture.
