ESM announces Collective Agreement demands 2025-06-25 15:18:23   NEWS CENTER – The Energy, Industry and Mining Public Employees’ Union (ESM), affiliated with the Confederation of Public Employees’ Trade Unions (KESK), has announced its demands ahead of the Collective Agreement process set to begin on August 1, calling for united struggle.   In statements made across several cities including Ankara, Amed (Diyarbakır), Riha (Urfa), and Eskişehir, union members expressed that they have been aggrieved for years due to previous collective bargaining agreements. The union outlined the following key demands:   "*Additional payments, project and responsibility compensation based on the specific nature of work in different institutions;   *Monetary meal allowances for civil servants in workplaces without provided meals, or for those who choose not to consume the meals provided;   *Clothing and protective gear support for civil servants and engineers in line with the nature of their duties;   *Field compensation for all employees performing on-site duties;   *Adjustment of seniority for those who joined the technical services class through title changes after 2008;   *Weekends should not be counted within annual leave days;   *An immediate halt to privatizations within State Economic Enterprises (KİTs)."   The ESM called for broad-based solidarity to ensure their demands are met during this year’s collective bargaining process.
